How early in advance should I book?
We recommend at least 48 hours in advance in order to have our cleaners guaranteed to be scheduled. Otherwise, if you have a last minute need, we will go above and beyond to find a cleaner to accommodate your needs but we cannot guarantee availability sooner than 48 hours.
What does a basic cleaning include?
First time clients who haven’t had their home cleaned professionally within the last month will need to add the First Time Clean option in the Extras section in order to give our crew members the time they need to achieve the high-quality results we’re known for. Our Standard Clean includes the following:

Dust baseboards & window sills

Switch plates cleaned

Do you offer services by the hour?
Yes we do! If you are in need of concierge services while you are out of town or otherwise, we offer a minimum two hour service to help our clients stock fridges, organize, water plants, feed pets, or other tasks. Our fee is $55 per hour with a 2-hour minumum
Who is Maidstown Cleaners?
We are a local service company that is focused on short term rental and residential cleaning. We provide scheduled, high-quality cleaners for your residential properties allowing you to focus on your life rather than cleaning. We manage cleaners and cleanings so you can sit back and relax.
How do cleaners know what to clean?
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
Yes! Our cleaners bring everything needed for your cleaning. However, we do not supply laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, or trash can liners so if those are needed, just tell us where they are stored so that our cleaners may access.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand, sometimes guests may cancel last minute or life comes up. We do not have a cancellation fee if you cancel at least 24 hours before a cleaning. For cancellations after 4 pm the day before cleaning or on the same day, a cancellation fee will apply.
How is my billing information kept secure?
Most of our bookings are online, so we take extra security measures to be sure each payment is encrypted and secure. Our booking page is protected by extended validation SSL. Our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security. Credit card transactions are processed by Stripe, which also has built in second layer 256 security protocol. Our system uses Stripe as our 3rd party processor and does not store credit card information, only a token that charges the card once service is complete.
Do you use trusted cleaners?
Absolutely, all of our cleaners have gone through a rigorous hiring process and are background checked prior to starting with us. We also ask all clients to fill out a review of cleaners after each job and you may switch your cleaner at any time (provided we have others in your service area.) We hire independent domestic workers that take pride in their work and business. If anyone drops below our gold standards, we may stop working with them and actively solicit feedback from customers.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Absolutely. If you are not 100% satisfied within 24 hours of a clean, just let us know and we will schedule a re-clean of your property within 7 business days.
For Airbnb cleans, when do cleaners arrive?
Cleaners do their best to arrive as close to checkout time as possible and will complete cleanings by the next check-in time, or your money back.
Do I have to be present for the cleanings?
It is not required, although sometimes recommended for first time cleans. If you will not be home, we will need entry details and to coordinate check-in times through our office. Feel free to give us a call or we will reach out once you book.
Do cleaners report damages by guests?
Cleaners will do their best to keep an eye out for any damages caused by your last guests and are to report any damages asap as well as take pictures. Your cleaners will do their absolutely best to keep an eagle eye out for damages to make sure you’re protected! We are not always aware of previous conditions though, so Maidstown is not responsible for any damages caused by guests which were not reported.
Loss of Revenue
If your guest is upset about a part of the cleaning that should have been done, we can coordinate a cleaner to come back and fix it for the guests. We do our part to make sure our clients are satisfied with a re-clean. We do our best to make it right by ensuring this policy but if your guest wants to cancel the reservation, unfortunately that’s out of our control and we do not cover any costs due to guest cancellation (in cases of Airbnb or short term cleans).
Can cleaners do laundry?
Yes, as long as you have a washer/dryer and detergent on site that cleaners may access.
